Disability Sport - Background

There are different categories in disability athletics, with a number of classes in each to ensure athletes with similar impairments compete against each other. My class is 32, the second most severe cerebral palsy class.

31 Cerebral Palsy - Very severely affected in all 4 limbs. (Seated)

Cerebral Palsy - Severely affected in all 4 limbs. (Seated)

33 Cerebral Palsy - Affected mostly in lower body and some of upper body. (Seated)
34 Cerebral Palsy - Affected mainly in lower body and minimal in upper body. (Seated)
35 Cerebral Palsy - Affected mainly in lower body and minimal in upper body. (Ambulant)
36 Cerebral Palsy - Affected in all 4 limbs. (Ambulant)
37 Cerebral Palsy - Affected in 1 arm and 1 leg. (Ambulant)
38 Cerebral Palsy - Slightly affected in 1 limb. (Ambulant)
