20th May - Paralympic World Crap!
Ah it's getting beyond a joke now - yes, I came second at the PWC
again. This time I was beaten by the very last throw of the competition
from Tunisian Mourad Idoudi.
For some reason my dodgy hip kicked off big time on the day of
the competition and I was in lots of pain and unable to walk. I
should've pulled out but because I'm so stubborn I thought I might
as well compete, I didn't do too bad either considering the state
I was in. I came 4th in discus unbelievably with a season's best
of 15.08m, and 2nd in club with 31.42 - 2 metres off the distance
I set in Nottingham 2 weeks earlier.
Since the PWC I've had two injections in my hip so hopefully it'll
settle down, I'm back into training now and am looking forward to
the British Open at the beginning of June - I'll make sure I'm fit
for it.
As my brother said, I'm used to not winning the PWC so it's nothing
new, I might be worried if I won it because winning in Beijing is
all that matters this year, so I'd rather things go tits up now
than in September.
